Motivating Employees
It’s a common misconception that employees are motivated primarily by money. While compensation always helps, research shows that the number one thing people want is growth and development in their work. They want to be successful in the job that they do.
So whether you’re rolling out a new product line, making significant changes to your organization, or just taking a fresh look at your training program, investing in employee training results in workers with:
- higher motivation,
- greater feelings of success in their jobs, and
- increased competence and success.
Expense vs. Investment
We’ve all experienced traditional “training” that consists of hours or days of slide presentations in large venues. It’s expensive, it’s tedious, and it often fails to yield real learning. Taking people off the sales line or workforce should be an investment, not an expense.
Our team will design and develop education that will help your end users be successful, competent, and confident in the work that they do. Creating training that is engaging and will hit the mark for the learner is the key to making it work.

Steps to Success:
When you work with Provost Consulting, we begin with a proven process that meets your needs.

Assess
A thorough assessment is the foundation of all good performance improvement. It’s finding out the core issues at hand. Here is where we investigate where the organization is now and where they want to go. By gathering all the pertinent information, we then strategize how to overcome gaps to meet the organizational objectives.

Design
Once we know where the organization wants to go, then we make a game plan. We design a strategy – like blueprints when building a house. We map out how everything will look and what needs to be done.

Develop
Now, we have our marching orders. We know what needs to be built – so we are on to development. This could be courses, job aids, webinars, communications, group work, you name it. We start our process of developing what’s needed to equip audiences to be confident and competent in the work they do!

Implement
Now, we are ready to launch. Be it a pilot session, or a full-blown program, we hit the ground running. We train trainers to implement the strategies created to meet the needs of the organization. We stay close to this process to adjust or tweak as needed.

Evaluate
As performance improvement sessions are active, we evaluate and adjust as necessary. At completion, we gather input at many levels to measure against the intended outcomes provided in the assessment phase. Evaluation and adjustments are continuous to ensure enhanced performance is achieved.

What People Are Saying

It is a great pleasure to recommend Barb as a business partner who focuses on results. Professionally, Barb is very dedicated to her engagements. Whether she is assisting with eLearning or bringing instructional design to life, she does so with a dedicated work ethic, detailed weekly progress reports, and the completion of all engagements on time. I have found Barb to be a problem solver who enjoys leveraging & applying adult learning techniques to any challenges that may come her way. This can be seen in various modules where she builds a variety of mediums to ensure end-user adoption and engagement. Most importantly, for me, Barb is genuinely interested in understanding each person's perspective and probes to do so in a very nonintrusive manner, which allows for openness and transparency, which is rare.
Barbs' personal strengths are just as impressive as her professional strengths. She is honest and sincere, and that is felt right away once you meet her. Barb is a collaborator, a learner, and consistently moves forward in her growth.
It is without any hesitation that I recommend her services.
