I find women want to be heard by professionals. Women are the expert in their lives. It's not my job to give answers and advice. It's my job to listen.
It is my job to ask the questions so you can find your own best answers. It's my job to explain the options available and the consequences of the options. You know what the best option is for you.
I find that women sometimes need to know the options while other times they need someone to assist in organizing their thoughts. And sometimes they just need a partner to validate they are on the right path.
I love joining women's journeys and watching them bravely live their best lives. It's exciting to see dreams come true.
I’ll start with the end, I earned my CFT-I (Certified Financial Therapy Level I) in addition to my CFP in order to be the best financial planner that I can be. My mother taught me that to build financial wellness, your day-to-day decisions matter more than how you invest.
I started my journey growing up with a mom that was a financial planner before there was a defined field. She became one of the early CFPs. I took a detour in my early adult life to earn a BS in Computer Science from Purdue U and an MBA. I went to work for a small start-up software company that was on the “ground floor” of what we now call the world wide web and wifi.
I left my tech career to become a financial planner because I wanted to help people live better lives. I could see how smart people struggled with making financial decisions.
Life should be enjoyed. We help people who are brave enough to live their amazing life and make the journey a bit easier.
*They don’t mention The Great Generation in “ages”. I specialize in this amazing cohort and also young professionals.
