I began my career as a financial advisor in 1991 in a Lehman Brothers office. We were actually taught not to talk to women. That was in the script! “May I speak to your husband please” I know know from first-hand experience what many male advisors in the industry feel about working with women, even if they don’t say it. Amazing, some still do say it. As recently as a few years ago I had a male colleague tell me out right that he “won’t work with women.” I wrote a book about my career experience with this attitude in my memoir No Backing Down. As a result, there are many women who are not completely comfortable working with men, so there is a great need for women to support women. I am here to listen to my clients, respect who they are, and meet them where they are in terms of understanding and managing their own wealth. It’s a privilege and an honor to work with women, so we can help each other be our best and reach our personal goals.
I focus on my clients’ financial well-being and security. My goal is to understand what matters most to my clients individually, then simplify the investment world for them and bring clear direction to their financial lives. I assess, strategize, implement and track my clients’ investment portfolios, then report back to them on a regular basis. I use a holistic and comprehensive planning approach and coordinate with my clients’ outside advisors including legal counsel and CPAs. My clients feel confident in that their investments are managed and regularly reviewed by someone upon whom they can trust.
