I love working with women because of the genuine connection we create. Women are generally more honest, more open to sharing who they are and what's important to them, more interested in learning and being an integral part of the planning process. All of this is what I think is important in building your definition of financial success and creating a long-term partnership that will get you there. (And it is what gives me joy!)
A native of Buffalo, New York, I earned a B.A. in Social Work and Psychology from Michigan State University and an MSW from Wilfred Laurier University. After practicing in the field for 8 years, I went on to earn an MBA from Boston University and worked for 20 years in corporate America in both public and private companies in a variety of industries, from high tech to consumer products and ship interior building. I held positions in the areas of financial/business analysis, strategy, and senior management positions overseeing operations, finance, and human resources. After years in corporate America, I got the entrepreneurial bug and decided to purchase a boutique flooring company franchise.
Upon determining that the franchise model was not all it professed to be, I decided to exit the business, pivot, and leverage the skills and knowledge I had gained throughout my diverse career. My decision to become a financial advisor was inspired by my own personal experience of a difficult divorce in the midst of the 2008 financial crisis, when I realized that I’d neglected to assume responsibility for my own personal financial wellbeing. I worked hard to successfully build a new life for myself.
I have thoughtfully developed my knowledge, skills, and processes to help people find the support and insights they need to navigate their personal financial life successfully.
THREE THINGS ABOUT ME
I'm passionate about helping to create positive change to improve people's lives and leave the world a better place.
Respect, integrity and trust are the foundations upon which I live my personal and professional life.
I love rowing, hiking, traveling, reading many different genres, cooking, and learning about (and drinking) good wine.
