My experience has been that women often rely on men to control the finances and make all related decisions. Many studies confirm that women are actually more risk-averse than men, and they are less likely to take unnecessary risks solely to achieve higher returns. These characteristics often lead to women becoming excellent long-term clients, as they show a strong commitment to understanding the strategies and recommendations in their financial plan.
When women inherit financial decision-making responsibilities they may not have had before, they may be uncertain about where to seek sound advice. My goal is to help women in need gain access to the comprehensive, unbiased financial advice they need and deserve. When working with spouses or partners, I strive for inclusion, ensuring that all voices are heard.
I graduated with from the University of Missouri with a degree in financial planning. While attending MU, my initial industry experience began with an internship at a life insurance company. Though valuable, this experience along with my education led me to seek a role where I was better equipped to help advise clients in a more holistic manner, placing emphasis on all topics regarding financial well-being. I soon learned and independent wealth advisory firm would provide the best opportunity to do so. Since earning my Certified Financial Planner designation in 2017, I’ve worked in a fiduciary, or best-interest capacity for all clients and prospects.
