I love working with women because I am the father of three daughters and I want them to feel empowered when it comes to personal finance and money as they go through life, and I don't want them to be financially dependent on anyone else.
I've helped my own mother, mother-in-law, and countless other women who have experienced widowhood get their finances in order. In most instances, their spouse was in charge of the family finances. After they passed away, they found themselves feeling overwhelmed when it came to their money, investments, and all of the options available to them. In fact, I've learned that, for women, the average age of widowhood is just 59 years old and the chance of them outliving their partner or spouse is 80%. So, they will at some point, be responsible for their finances.
Women are more educated than men, yet feel less confident when it comes to their finances.
Over the past 20 years, having helped many single women, couples, and widows, I've seen all of the ways that women's needs are different:
Women have been failed by the financial industry
Women are more educated than men are today
Women live longer than men
Women will control most of the money
Women will spend more since they live longer
Women are more focused on security than taking risks
Finally, I enjoy working with women as I find them to be more loyal, capable, and willing to work with an expert.
