Ever since I founded Earth Equity Advisors over 20 years ago, women have been an important part of our client base. Peter Krull, CSRIC, is a Partner and the Director of Sustainable Investing at Earth Equity Advisors, a Prime Capital Financial Company. He is also the 2024 Investment News ESG/Responsible Investing Advisor of the Year,1 and a 2025 InvestmentNews top 50 5-Star Independent Advisor2. He is a well-known thought leader in the sustainable investment industry, advocating for fossil-fuel-free, sustainable, resilient, and innovation (SRI) investing.
He is the author of The Sustainable Investor: Responsible, Impactful, And Values-Driven Investment Strategies for Financial Advisors as well as the host of the podcast, Dollars & Change: An Expert’s Guide to Sustainable and Responsible Investing.
Practicing sustainable investing for over 20 years, Peter believes in the power of positive, solutions-based investing. At Earth Equity, Peter focuses on creating and managing the firm’s SRI investment portfolios, educating investors and advisors, and writing thought leadership pieces.
Peter has won two ThinkAdvisor Luminaries Awards: Thought Leadership and Education3 in 2021, and the Advisors With Heart in 20244. He has also received the Sustainable Champion Award from the North Carolina Business Council in 2022.5 He was ranked in the AdvisorHub listing of fastest-growing advisors in America for 2022.6
He is a regular speaker at industry conferences as an expert on sustainable investing, including Future Proof, US SIF Forum, ESG for Impact and others. He is a contributor to Kiplinger and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Barron’s, Bloomberg, Money Magazine, Investor’s Business Daily, MarketWatch, and many others. He has appeared on Reuters TV, Cheddar TV and the Schwab Network. In addition, he has been regularly featured in numerous podcasts, magazines, and online articles including the Michael Kitces Podcast.
A native of Western New York, Peter lives in Asheville, NC, with his wife, Dr. Melissa Booth, a scientist, science communicator, and novelist, and their very spoiled cat, Cleo. They drive electric vehicles and live in a solar and battery-powered house.
