I love working with women because they ask the real questions.
Not the polished ones. The ones they've been carrying around for years without anyone to ask them to. The ones that start with "is it just me" or "I probably should already know this but" or "I feel like I'm doing everything right and still not sure if it's working."
Those are the questions that actually matter. And they're almost never about math.
The women I work with are accomplished by every measure that the world uses to keep score. Titles, income, equity, influence. And they still walk into financial conversations with a version of the same feeling: that this particular room was not built for them.
They're right. It wasn't. But I think that's changing, and I want to be part of how it changes.
I grew up in a house where money was talked about openly. I didn't realize how unusual that was until I started doing this work and saw how many brilliant, capable women had never been handed that same ease. Not because they weren't smart enough. Because nobody ever handed them the room.
That's what I try to do now. Create the room. Ask the real questions back. And make sure the women I work with leave every conversation knowing exactly where they stand and what's actually possible from here.
I don't think financial planning has to feel intimidating. I think it feels that way because of who has historically been invited to the table and who hasn't. My job is to fix that, one conversation at a time.
Hi, I’m Ren.
I’m a CFP® and financial advisor who works with high-earning women, and I built my practice around a simple observation: the women who need financial clarity the most are often the ones who feel least entitled to ask for it.
I grew up in a house where money was talked about openly. My dad worked in finance, and by the time I was nine I had already heard more about the Federal Reserve than most adults ever will. I didn’t realize until I was older how much that access shaped me, or how many women never got that same foundation.
That’s the gap I work in. Not a knowledge gap. An agency gap.
The women I work with earn well, save consistently, and have equity they’ve worked hard for. They’re also lying awake wondering if any of it is actually connected, whether they’re too concentrated in company stock, and whether earning well and building real financial security are actually the same thing. They’re not always. And that’s exactly the conversation I’m here to have.
I studied Economics and Communication Studies at Northwestern, and I’ve spent my career making financial planning feel less like a lecture and more like a conversation you should have had years ago.
No jargon. No making anyone feel small for not already knowing. Just clarity about where you actually stand and what’s possible from here.
If that sounds like the conversation you’ve been waiting for, I’d love to hear what’s on your mind.
