Working with women has always been a big part of our firm. My mom, Carole Ford, started Ford Financial Group in 1992, and primarily worked with women. Many of our clients have been with our firm for decades, and one of the things I value most is working with multiple generations of the same family.
That history is a big part of why I enjoy this work so much. At the same time, I feel especially drawn to working with Gen X, Millennials, and older Gen Z women. I am in many of the same life stages and conversations as my clients — balancing careers, family, aging parents, kids, retirement planning, and all the financial decisions that come with those transitions. I think that shared life experience helps create a level of understanding that is hard to replicate.
Erin Redmond is a Partner and Financial Advisor at Ford Financial Group, a family-founded financial planning firm established by her mother, Carole Ford, in 1992. She works with individuals and families across generations, with a particular interest in helping Gen X, Millennial, and older Gen Z clients navigate the financial decisions that come with changing careers, growing families, aging parents, and planning for the future.
Erin works closely with her husband, Nik Redmond, who is also a Partner and Financial Advisor at Ford Financial Group and holds the CFP® designation. Together, they take a collaborative approach to working with clients, bringing different perspectives and strengths to the planning process. Their goal is to help clients feel supported, informed, and confident as they make decisions around investments, retirement, cash flow, family priorities, and long-term planning.
Erin holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara and an MBA from Creighton University’s Heider College of Business, with an emphasis in Financial Psychology and Behavioral Finance. She also holds the FBS (Financial Behavioral Specialist) designation, along with her Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
Her approach to financial planning blends traditional planning and investment guidance with an understanding of the psychology behind financial decision-making. Erin is especially interested in money beliefs, money scripts, and the ways family experiences, emotions, and personal values can shape financial behavior.
Supporting women has also been an important part of Erin’s work in the community. She has volunteered through the Junior League of Fresno on initiatives supporting women and children and was part of the start-up committee for Dress for Success in Fresno. Those experiences reinforced her belief in the importance of helping women build confidence, independence, and access to resources that can support them through different stages of life.
Before joining Ford Financial Group, Erin spent more than a decade working in the technology and digital media industries. That experience, combined with her own life transitions and career change into financial planning, gives her a practical perspective on the many ways financial priorities can evolve over time.
Erin lives in the Fresno area with Nik and their two children. Outside of work, she enjoys photography, strength training, gardening, astrology, and spending time with her family.
