I love working with women because it allows me to work towards directly contributing to addressing important challenges many women face in their financial and professional lives - from career breaks for family care to planning for longer life expectancy. By helping women build financial knowledge and independence, the impact extends beyond individuals to strengthen families and entire communities. Women often serve as financial decision makers for their households, so empowering them with education and resources creates a powerful multiplier effect that can uplift everyone around them.
Michelle Muhammed, Founder of The Next Chapter Divorce, brings over two decades of financial experience to her role. Her journey to specializing in divorce financial counseling began when she witnessed how poor divorce settlements haunted clients’ financial futures for years.
Despite her extensive experience in financial planning, Michelle recognized that divorce financial counseling required specialized knowledge. Troubled by the lack of support and resources available, and seeing clients make costly mistakes, she decided to make a difference. This led her to become a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) and ultimately found The Next Chapter Divorce, aiming to offer better choices to people, especially women, facing divorce.
