I owned and operated a daycare center for 13 years before closing due to finances and divorce. I tried to build credit under my EIN number but it was a full time job in itself, watching videos, reading articles, trial and error, etc… I could never get a bank to say yes without my personal assets and social security number. I had 3 children to care for and it was more realistic to close and take a job elsewhere. I then went on to become a finance manager at a dealership for many years. I loved helping and meeting new people but the hours were long and I missed so much with my kids. By this time, I remarried and started fostering. When we took in our 6th, 7th and 8th fosters to adopt, I took the leap to become a stay at home mom. Something I had wanted to do for a long time and the kids needed me at home. Being at home, especially during a pandemic, was probably the hardest job of my life. Settling in 8 kids , making them feel secure, getting them all the resources they needed, bonding and just being a family was a challenge that took a long time but we did it. Fast forward a few years, my youngest is 11 and 7 still live at home but I had the itch to go back to work. I came across J Galt Finance Suite and was intrigued with what they were doing. I get to help people, which I love! I get to teach people so I can utilize my degree in education. I get to work with businesses and help them grow which I tried for so long to do on my own. I get to balance work and life while still attending my children’s event and tucking them in every night. It has been a win win for me and all the businesses I have been able to help!
